PADI Open Water

Includes instruction for classroom and pool sessions, the use of scuba equipment for pool sessions and your PADI Open Water Kit. A total of four open water training dives will be conducted over two days. Meeting times and dates will be arranged during your course.

Class Materials and Equipment

To help you become more comfortable underwater you will need to purchase your own mask, fins, snorkel, and wetsuit boots prior to your first class. You will need to pickup your open water kit at least one week before attending class. Also, you will need to come to the store to borrow an Open Water video which is to be viewed prior to class start date.
A 10% discount will be given when a student purchases a package from Undesea Divers that includes a mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit boots!

Enrollment

$450.00 must be paid in full at registration for the Course. Classes fill quickly, so please register early by calling now or visiting as the store. There is a minimum of four students per class otherwise the class will be rescheduled.
Refund Policy: Full refund if cancelled at least 7 days prior to class start date.

Student requirements prior to class and pool sessions

First open your Open Water Kit and completely fill out the enclosed medical folder. If you are under 18 have a parent also sign the folder. Next read the enclosed open water manual and do the quick quizzes and the knowledge reviews. We will be going over the knowledge reviews during class you must have them completely filled out prior to class and turn them in during class. Next watch the video we lent you when you signed up for class. Lastly read over the How to Use and Choose Dive Computer Manual and complete knowledge reviews 4 and 5.

The open water course is only the first step towards discovering the underwater world. At Undersea Divers, we offer a variety of activities, trip and diving interest classes to increase your proficiency and expand your diving horizons. Day, private and group lessons are available.

We use NEW equipment in our instruction and rental program. Our instruction equipment is from the industry’s leading manufacturers. Our featured lines are US Divers and Seaquest.

Classroom / Pool Sessions

The pool sessions will introduce you to the underwater world through skill development under the instructor’s supervision. The interesting background to the sport will be learned in the classroom. The schedule reflects only the classroom and pool portion of the class. After completing the requirements of the schedule, you can schedule your open water dives with us for any weekend that we run them. Saturday/Sunday sessions are 2:00pm – 9:30pm approx. Ending time will vary depending on number of students in the class and how well they prepared for class.

Four Open Water Dives

The open water component is designed to give you maximum exposure to the actual diving environment under supervision. Each dive consists of skill levels that help you develop your proficiency in the open water. You will need to purchase you own gloves and hood for the open water dives. Diving is quickly becoming the most popular new sport in America today.
